PURPOSE: A triarylmethane blue dye compound has excellent solubility to propylene glycol monomethyl ether acetate, high resistance, and high luminance and manufactures a color filter with excellent heat resistance, light resistance, and luminance. CONSTITUTION: A triarylmethane blue dye compound is represented by chemical formula 1. In chemical formula 1, X^- is trifluoromethanesulfonic acid or bistrifluoromethanesulfoneimide anion; each of R1, R2, R3, and R4 is hydrogen, a substituted or unsubstituted C1-10 alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C6-10 aromatic hydrocarbon, and R6 represented by a structure formula 1; at least one of R1, R2, R3, and R4 includes R6; and R5 is phenyl, C1-8 alkoxyphenyl, or halogenated phenyl.
