<p>PURPOSE: An organometallic compound is provided to obtain an organic electroluminescent device with excellent thermal properties, light emitting efficiency, and color purity, thereby being used in a display or a lamp. CONSTITUTION: An organometallic compound is denoted by chemical formula 1. The half-width of the organometallic compound is 60 nm or less. An organic electroluminescent device comprises an anode, a cathode, and the organometallic compounds between the anode and the cathode. A light emitting layer between the anode and the cathode contains the organometallic compounds. The organic electroluminescent device further comprises one or more layers among a hole injection layer, a hole transport layer, an electron blocking layer, a hole blocking layer, an electron transport layer, and an electron injection layer.</p> |
