PURPOSE: A roof air bag device for vehicles is provided to rapidly restrain a passenger using a low-capacity air bag device by shortening a distance between the passenger and the air bag device. CONSTITUTION: A roof air bag device for vehicles comprises a left wing part (7-L), a right wing part (7-R), an outer top part (7-T), an outer cushion (7), and an inner cushion (9). The U-shaped cross sections of the left and right wing parts are extended in a front and rear direction and are opened to the bottom. The left and right wing parts form a wall by being partitioned into both sides around the head of a passenger. The outer top part connects the left and right wing parts. The outer cushion includes a supply vent hole which delivers expansive gas from an inflator to the inner cushion. The inner cushion is formed in an internal space between the left and right wing parts. The inner cushion includes an inlet and an outlet. |
