PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus capable of reducing sheet-jamming caused by permeation of ink droplets into a sheet.SOLUTION: An apparatus includes: a recording head 37 that discharges ink droplets; a control part 130 that controls the recording head 37 to discharge the ink droplets on a recording paper 15 conveyed in a conveyance path 23; and a database in which ink volume information comprising an ink volume level that regulates the ink volume discharged in each of a plurality of unit areas US that form a recording surface of the recording paper 15 is accumulated. The control part 130 creates the ink volume information based on the ink volume that has been discharged in the recording paper 15 until sheet-jamming occurs when the sheet jamming occurs (S240). The created ink volume information is compared to the ink volume information in the database (S250). The control part 130 delays the conveyance speed of the recording paper 15 when there is the same ink volume information in the database as the created ink volume information (S270). |
