PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a work table suspended on a messenger wire to be very easily and accurately brought closer to an optical cable and be finely adjusted and to allow the position of a fusion splicer placed on the work table to be adjusted to a position right below the optical cable, under worker's arm, or the like.SOLUTION: A work base table 2 is suspended on a messenger wire W via clamps 4 by chains 5 provided at four corners of a frame body 1 to which the work base table 2 is attached, and length adjustment means capable of adjusting the length of each chain is provided. A vertically adjustable rising/lowering work table 6 is provided on the work base table 2. A first slit 9 in a direction rectangular to the messenger wire W and second slits 10 which are on both outer sides of the first slit 9 and are rectangular to the first slit 9 are provided in the rising/lowering work table 6, and a fixing bolt is inserted through one of the first and second slits 9 and 10 to freely fix a fusion splicer M. |
