PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent erroneous detection by a small animal within a short distance range N on the front side of a sensor in a human body detector 1 in which a plurality of detection areas a1, a2, b1, b2 are formed in a monitoring zone by condensation means 12.SOLUTION: A human body detector has: infrared detection means; and condensation means for forming a plurality of detection areas in a monitoring zone, and determines that a human body is detected when the number of detection areas determined that there are changes becomes three or more. Within a short distance range N separated from a position O directly under the human body detector in the monitoring zone by distance d, the detection areas are formed so that three or more numbers of detection areas are not arranged in series by being adjacent to one another. Within a narrow short distance range N, possibility of erroneously detecting a small animal which tends to linearly move becomes small, and an erroneous report by the small animal is prevented. |
