<p>In a configuration in which there is no primary transfer roller, since photosensitive drums are arranged with a plurality of levels of penetration with respect to a tensioned surface of an intermediate transfer belt in order to maintain the length of contact between the photosensitive drums and the intermediate transfer belt, the size of the device is increased in the height direction. In the present invention, in order to overcome this problem, four image supports are aligned along the intermediate transfer belt at the same amount of penetration with respect to the tensioned surface of the intermediate transfer belt, and a pushing member is provided for pushing the belt surface outward between the middle two image supports.</p> |
