PURPOSE: A hybrid heating device and a method thereof are provided to improve the reliability, economic efficiency, and energy efficiency of a product by combining a heat pump with a high performance coefficient and a gas hot water supply device with low primary energy consumption. CONSTITUTION: A hybrid heating device comprises a storage tank (1), a heat pump (2), a bypass (12), a hot water supply device (3), and a control unit. A first condenser (13a) is arranged on the heat pump to heat water inside the storage tank. The bypass is branched from an inlet and is united in a hot water supply unit (7). The control unit controls the operation of the heat pump and the hot water supply device based on the temperature of hot water inside the storage tank. The control unit controls the flow rate of a fluid which flows through the bypass. The control unit controls the operation of circulation pumps (11, 20) which circulate hot water in a heating area from the storage tank.
