PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the unified use of a plurality of methods having different relationship of dependency between a viewpoint image and a depth image in coding and decoding, when coding or decoding the viewpoint image and the depth image.SOLUTION: An image coding device determines one of coding methods having different reference relationship between the viewpoint image and the depth image, on the basis of predetermined coding method change data, so as to code the viewpoint image and the depth image according to the determined coding method. The image coding device inserts into a coding data string reference information between images that represents reference relationship between the viewpoint image and the depth image when coding. An image decoding device determines a decoding method and a decoding sequence according to the reference relationship represented by the reference information between images, so as to decode the viewpoint image and the depth image according to the determined decoding method and the decoding sequence. |
