PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method by which an image of high color reproducibility and decreased streak failure is formed when forming image by shooting of ink droplet to the high density.SOLUTION: An image forming method has: an ink imparting step to form an image comprising a plurality of colors by imparting more than two kinds of ink compositions with different hues including the multivalent (meta) acrylamide shown by general formula (1)...ink composition of two or more kinds of to the recording medium whose content ratio to a pigment, water, and the composition total amount is 5-15 mass%; a treatment liquid imparting step to impart the treatment liquid containing aggregating components to agglomerate the components in the ink composition. A mean diameter &phgr;(μm) of the ink droplet imparted to a recording medium fills a relational expression (1) and the droplet shooting density of the ink droplet of which liquid droplet amount imparted to the recording medium is not less than 80% (Q: n-valent connecting group, R:H, methyl group, n≥2).
