PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel (PDP) capable of solving a problem that the current converges in an area adjacent to a specific flexible printed circuit (FPC) in proportion to increase of size and brightness of the PDP causing a large temperature gradient on a front panel resulting in damage on the PDP.SOLUTION: The plasma display panel includes: a front panel in which a dielectric layer and a protection film layer are formed in this order to cover display electrodes on a front base panel on which plural display electrodes including plural scan electrodes and plural maintaining electrodes are formed; and rear panel having plural data electrodes formed on a rear base panel on which an insulation layer is formed to cover the data electrodes, in which the front panel and the rear panel are sealed with a sealing material being face to each other. The plural maintaining electrodes include plural common electrodes for electrically short-circuiting, which are disposed extending parallel to data electrodes. The plural common electrodes are sorted into two groups, and connection electrodes for electrically connected to each group are provided. |
