Provided is a safety cabinet for keeping an animal, the safety cabinet being configured in such a manner that a flow passage for air sucked into a working space in which an animal is kept can be selected without using an air volume control device. A safety cabinet (1) for keeping an animal is configured in such a manner that air is discharged from a working space (3) to the outside of the device through a first air purification means (12a) by means of an air blowing means. A second air purification means (12b) which supplies air to the working space (3) and an openable/closable small window (6) which forms an opening for feeding are arranged parallel to each other, and consequently the flow of air into the working space (3) is controlled in such a manner that the air is sucked from the second air purification means (12b) when the small window (6) is closed and the air is sucked from the opening (7) of the small window (6) when the small window is open.
