<p>A backlight module comprising: a back panel (10), a backlight source (20) arranged within the back panel (10), a prism (30) arranged on the back panel (10) and above the backlight source (20), and a light guide plate (40) arranged within the back panel (10). The light guide plate (40) is provided with an incident face (42). The back light source (20) is arranged on one side of the incident face (42) of the light guide plate (40). The backlight source (20) is provided with a light-emitting surface (22). A light emitted via the light-emitting surface (22) enters into the light guide plate (40) via the incident face (42) after being refracted by the prism (30). The backlight module has arranged the at least one prism (30) directly above the backlight source (20) to allow refraction of the incident light, thereby deflecting directly into the light guide plate (40) most of the light emitted by the backlight source (20), thus reducing light energy loss and increasing the coupling efficiency of light, while at the same time, the need for optimization of the position and shape of a lateral reflector in the prior art is obviated, thus reducing the thickness of the backlight module, reducing the width of an edge frame at the incident side of the backlight module, and facilitating a narrow edge frame design.</p> |
