PURPOSE: An apparatus for managing the insulating gas of ground equipment in a live wire status and a method thereof are provided to filter gas and inject the filtered gas, thereby reducing the environmental pollution. CONSTITUTION: An insulating gas analysis and test unit (150) measures the impurity concentration of insulating gas. A collection tank (160) collects the insulating gas within ground equipment (100). A filter unit (170) filters the impurities of the insulation gas within the collection tank. An insulating gas injection unit (180) provides the filtered insulating gas to the ground equipment. A control unit (130) determines whether to replace the insulating gas.
