PURPOSE: A motor assembly for electromotive wheel chairs is provided to offer a motor assembly as being embedded in driving wheels in a compact size in order to increase operability of the electromotive wheel chairs by offering simplicity of operation by reducing total weight and volume. CONSTITUTION: A motor assembly for an electromotive wheel chair (115) comprises left and right frames which include seats in the center and front and a back of a chair and a handle in the back; a driving wheel (107) which is installed with a driving tool for generating power in both rear sides of the left and right frames; assisting wheels installed in front of the driving wheel; arm rests installed in both sides of center of the left and right frames and foot rests installed in front of the left and right frames; and a controller which controls driving wheels by installing in the arm rests. The motor assembly comprises a cylinder shaped motor housing (116); a stator (117) and a rotor (118) which are installed to generate rotary power by being applied power from a battery inside the motor housing; a rotation shaft (119) which is installed in the rotor and is protruding towards inner direction of the motor housing; a motor cover (121) which finishes by embedding a slowdown tool inside the motor housing; an output shaft (126) which is installed to connect the slowdown tool to the outer end of the rotary shaft and to receive the slowed power to the outer side of the slowdown tool; and a driving wheel socket which connects the output shaft to the wheels and helps driving by delivering power to the driving wheels. The motor assembly has an in-wheel type in which the whole motor housing is covered by the wheels. |
