PURPOSE: A choke deck for improving the speed performance of a drillship can be kept by being retracted into a space unit formed on the rear surface of a moon pool of the drillship by using a hydraulic cylinder or a pneumatic cylinder or by being folded on the lateral surface or the rear surface of the moon pool by using a servo motor, or a hydraulic cylinder, or a pneumatic cylinder. CONSTITUTION: A choke deck for improving the speed performance of a drill ship (150) includes a choke deck driving unit (160) and a controller (170). The choke deck is installed on the lateral surface or the rear surface of a moon pool (100) of the drillship for suppressing and reducing the seawater flow inside the moon pool. The bottom surface of the choke deck is fixed on the lateral surface or the rear surface of the moon pool by a hinge (151). The choke deck driving unit is formed on the rear surface or the inner lateral surface of the moon pool. The chock deck driving member selectively vertically erects the chock deck or horizontally spread. The control unit is formed on a deck of the drillship. The control unit controls the choke deck driving member.
