PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve welding quality by controlling welding conditions while taking account of variation in each position of a welding line, and also to save energy by controlling electric power for welding accompanied by the controlling of welding conditions.SOLUTION: An apparatus for controlling welding includes: a welding condition setting unit 20 for setting a welding condition for a welding target material 1; a welding output measuring unit 31 for measuring the output of an arc welding machine 10; a welding position information acquiring unit 32 for obtaining welding position information of a welding target material 1; and a welding result determinator 40 for determining a result of welding operation for each welding position of the welding target material 1 based on the welding condition set by the welding condition setting unit 20, the measurement result of the output by the welding output measuring unit 31, and the welding position information obtained by the welding position information acquiring unit 32.
