PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel sensor with low resistance and excellent quality stability, having a wiring layer easy to form.SOLUTION: A touch panel sensor comprises: an insulation base material; and a wiring layer formed on the insulation base material. At least part of the wiring layer is a copper system wiring layer made of a copper system material being copper or a copper alloy including copper as a main component. A metallic cap layer made of a metallic material is formed on the copper system wiring layer. The metallic material allows simultaneous etching with the copper system material. A mass increase amount ratio being a value obtained by dividing a mass increase amount of the metallic material under air atmosphere by a mass increase amount of the copper system material is less than 1.
