摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CIGS-based compound solar cell having a high conversion efficiency, by setting the crystal orientation in a buffer layer in a specific direction.SOLUTION: In a CIGS-based compound solar cell including a back electrode layer 2, a CIGS light absorption layer 3, a buffer layer 4, and a transparent electrode layer 5, in this order, on a substrate 1, the buffer layer 4 is composed of a mixed crystal of a group IIa metal and a Zn oxide, and the characteristics of the mixed crystal shown by X-ray diffraction satisfy the following formula (1). 0.5&le;A/(A+B+C)<1...(1)(where, neither A, B, C is 0), A:peak intensity on (002) plane, B:peak intensity on (100) plane, C:peak intensity on (101) plane.
