PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lighten the rotary shaft of a waste culm cutting device as well as ensure needed strength.SOLUTION: In integrally constituting a cutting rotary shaft 8 by connecting a pair of terminal shafts 32 each supported to be rotatable between left and right side plates 13 with an intermediate shaft 31 to which cutting disks 16 are installed, the cutting rotary shaft 8 comprises the intermediate shaft 31 made of a hexagonal hollow pipe, the terminal shafts 32 made of a hexagonal solid shaft, first boss members 33 engaged with the ends of the intermediate shaft 31 through hexagonal openings 33a, and second boss members 34 engaged with the ends of the terminal shafts 32 through hexagonal openings 34a, wherein the first boss member 33 and the second boss member 34 are mutually engaged through peripheral surfaces 33b, 34c making the intermediate shaft 31 or the terminal shaft 32 as the center, and provided with engaging units 33c, 34b integrally connected at a position on the outer peripheral side from the hexagonal openings 33a, 34a by a predetermined connecting means. |
