PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method for measuring a disinfection effect or an antivirus effect of a substance to be tested on animal viruses, capable of measuring the disinfection effect or the antivirus effect on animal viruses more accurately than conventional methods in vitro without using animal viruses nor animal cells.SOLUTION: A method for measuring a disinfection effect or an antivirus effect of a substance to be tested on animal viruses having an envelope comprises contacting the substance to be tested with a bacteriophage belonging to Fuselloviridae, Plasmaviridae, Lipothrixviridae, Tectiviridae or Cystoviridae and using the infectious capacity of the bacteriophage after contacting bacterial cells as an index. |
