PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic particle suitable as a biological substance binding magnetic carrier excellent in binding of a biological substance, collectability by magnetic force and dispersibility in a state of removing magnetic force and capable of expressing excellent sensitivity in immunoassay including a short-time cleaning process.SOLUTION: A magnetic particle (E) is composed of containing a superparamagnetic metal oxide particle (C) having 1 to 15 nm of an average particle diameter in a nonmagnetic metal oxide (D) and containing 60 to 95 wt% of the (C) to the total weight of the (C) and the (D). The average particle diameter of the (E) is preferably 1 to 5 μm, the (C) is preferably at least one sort selected from a group composed of magnetite, γ-hematite, magnetite-α-hematite intermediate iron oxide, and γ-hematite-α-hematite intermediate iron oxide, and the (D) is preferably at least one sort selected from a group composed of silicon oxide, titanium oxide, zirconium oxide, aluminum oxide, calcium oxide, yttrium oxide, and tantalum oxide. |
