An evaporator is provided with a refrigerant pipe (10), a cold storage case (2) which has inner fins (3) mounted therein, and air-side fins (20). The evaporator is characterized in that the cold storage case (2) is provided with: a filling opening (5) for filling the cold storage case (2) with a cold storage material; a first flow passage (V) connecting to the filling opening (5) and extending in the same direction as the direction of inflow of the cold storage material; and a second flow passage (H) connecting to the first flow passage (V) and extending in the direction intersecting the first flow passage (V).
