The element (1) has an inner layer (2) and an outer layer (3) made of a metallic material and concentrically joined with each other. A thermally insulating filling (4) with a particulate material is arranged between the inner and outer layers. The particulate material contains glass and/or ceramic balls (4a) in form of hollow balls. The particulate material has a thermally insulating characteristic. A temperature-resistant paste (4b) or a temperature-resistant binding agent is arranged between the inner and outer layers, and actively connected with the particulate material. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a thermally insulated line element.
