PURPOSE: A method for operating a magnetic resonance system and a control facility are provided to increase the bandwidth of an HF pulse by including a plurality of independent high frequency transmission channels. CONSTITUTION: A transmission antenna device includes a plurality of independent high frequency transmission channels (S1-SN). Transmission antennas (5a, 5b, 5c) are allocated to the high frequency transmission channels. Each high frequency transmission channel controls an oscillator. The high frequency transmission channels are operated with independent transmission pulses. The frequency of the oscillator is independently controlled.
