PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an azo compound capable of improving the dispersibility of an azo pigment in a non-water-soluble solvent.SOLUTION: An azo compound has a structure in which a partial structure shown by formula (1) and a polymer that has a monomer unit of styrene, (meth)acrylic acid, and (meth)acrylic acid ester or the like bonds together. In the formula, R1 and R2 denote an OM group or an amino group; M denotes a hydrogen atom or a counter cation; and at least one of R3 to R7 is a hydrogen atom or a linking group that bonds with the polymer.
