PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To replace heavy and expensive copper shields with a more cost effective and lighter material without sacrificing shielding characteristics, in a field of shielding against electromagnetic interference in electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles.SOLUTION: An electromagnetic shielding composition includes about 40-60 vol.% of a sheet molding composition including an effective amount of carbon fibers for shielding against electromagnetic radiation from electrical systems disposed in an at least partially electrically driven vehicle. |
