PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus in which spherical aberration can be successfully corrected, in particular, spherical aberration can be successfully corrected in a bright optical system having a wide field angle as well, and a high imaging performance can be obtained.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes an imaging optical system having a plurality of lenses, and an imaging surface which is provided in the vicinity of an imaging surface of the imaging optical system and is curved so that a concave surface thereof is directed toward an object side. The imaging optical system has an aperture diaphragm, at least one surface of a lens surface disposed closest to the object side and a lense surface closest to the image side is formed as an aspherical surface in which an aspherical surface amount which is deviated from a reference spherical surface toward the outside of the imaging optical system is imparted at peripheral portions of the lens surface, a focal distance of the imaging optical system and a distance from an exit pupil of the imaging optical system to the imaging surface are set to be substantially the same, and a curvature radius of the imaging surface is set to be substantially the same as the focal distance of the imaging optical system. |
