When fluid pressure detected by an accumulator pressure sensor (101) is lower than a predetermined prescribed value, a brake ECU (100) sets master cut-off valves (63, 64) to an open state and sets holding valves (61FR, 61FL) to a closed state, thereby forming a link between a master cylinder (22) and wheel cylinders (42FR, 42FL). Meanwhile, the ECU (100) maintains holding valves (61RR, 61RR) in open state, thereby forming a link between an accumulator (32) and the wheel cylinders (42FR, 42FL) via a linear control valve (65). The ECU (100) determines, on the basis of changes in fluid pressure detected by the sensor (101), a master-cylinder pressure sensor (102), and a control-pressure sensor (103), whether a failure has occurred in any of the brake systems from among the front-right wheel brake system, the front-left wheel brake system, and the rear left-and-right wheel brake system. |
