The invention relates to method for production of alcohols and/or solvents of cellulose or lignocellulose substrate comprising at least the following stages: the stage of alkali preliminary treatment of substrate, the stage of pH regulation and the stage of enzymatic hydrolysis of preliminary processes substrate, upon completion of which the hydrolyzate is produced consisting of liquid phase containing sugars and solid residue; subsequent fermentation of produced hydrolyzate; the stage of separation/purification upon completion of which one or several purified alcohols and/or solvents are produced; the stage of solid residue extraction; the stage of acid process of fraction of extracted solid residue, upon completion of which part of the whole obtained product is recirculated to the stage of pH control.
