The vehicle lock has a lock latch (1) and a ratchet assembly (2). The ratchet assembly is made to locked state and unlocked state so that the latch is set to prelocking or closing position, and open position respectively. The ratchet assembly has a ratchet (4) engaged with latch, and a ratchet (5) which is engaged with ratchet (4) for holding of lock latch in locked state. The lock latch is displaced in closing direction and is engaged with ratchet (5) so that the ratchet (5) is deflected in an alternate movement of the ratchet (4).
