PURPOSE: A data processing device of a RFID system and a method thereof are provided to selectively transmit a responding signal for an inquiry signal received from a reader at a tag. CONSTITUTION: A memory part (13) stores identification information. An antenna (16) receives an inquiry command from a RFID reader and transmits a responding signal for the command. A sensor part (11) senses a user input. A control part (12) confirms the sensing of the user input of the sensor part. If the user input is sensed, the control part generates a responding command corresponding to the inquiry command. If the user input is not sensed, the control part does not generate the responding command corresponding to the inquiry command and generates a responding signal corresponding to the particular command of the inquiry command.
