<p>PURPOSE: A method for providing a broadcast linkage type service is provided to supply a service linking with a digital broadcasting program since an application receives and indicates additional information related with program runtime event (PRE) information by transmitting the PRE information corresponding to an event generated in playing the digital broadcasting program to a receiver in which the application is executed. CONSTITUTION: A method for providing a service for a linkage type comprises the following steps: a step (S100) aims to receive a digital broadcasting program; a step (S200) aims to execute an application linking with the digital broadcasting program; a step (S300) aims to transmit program runtime event (PRE) information corresponding to an event generated in playing the digital broadcasting program to a receiver in which the application is executed; a step (S400) aims to receive additional information related to the PRE information by the application analyzing the PRE information; and a step (S500) aims to indicate by the application processing the additional information.
