FIELD: oil and gas industry.SUBSTANCE: packing unit for packer contains sealing element and extendable ring installed at one of its butts. Extendable ring is fixed by a pin; it is formed by rows of overlapped external and internal segments. Segments in rows are made as capable of displacement relative to each other. Each external segment is connected to two internal segments. External segment has one dynamic connection with internal segments by a pin and one rigid connection with the other segment by a rivet. There is a groove for pin and a hole for rivet at external segments while at internal segments there is a hole for pin and rivet. The pin is made as a rod with upper and lower heads at its both ends. The upper head can be moved along the groove of external element. The lower head with a part of the rod is imbedded into the sealing element.EFFECT: improvement of packer sealing properties, guaranteed return of extendable ting into its initial position at packer releasing, reliability and durability of packer operation due to exclusion of elastic material flowing from the sealing element into annular space between packer body and wellbore walls, prevention of rubber destruction at parker releasing.3 dwg |
