PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating technology, which is excellent in a hiding property of intermediate coat surface in top coating including a brightness material and can reduce VOC.SOLUTION: In a top coating material to be applied on an intermediate coat surface including a resin-based polymer, a brightness material, and a solvent, a polymeric molecular weight is 5,000 to 20,000, and an additive is a viscosity controlling agent by which viscosity of the coating material is increased along with drying temperature increase. According to the invention, the molecular weight is smaller than that of polymers of the molecular weight of 20,000 or more. The viscosity of the coating material lowers when the molecular weight becomes small, and hiding performance to a sharpening mark decreases. Then, by adding the viscosity controlling agent, the lowering of the viscosity is suppressed. As a result, there can be provided a coating technology by which a hiding property of the intermediate coat surface in top coating including the brightness material is excellent, and VOC can be reduced. |
