The type of an occurring malfunction and a phase in which the malfunction has occurred can be distinguished by a pulse number and pulse width. In an instrument performing a plurality of phase actions, a malfunction type or a malfunctioned phase is distinguished, and an alarm signal including a pulse corresponding to the malfunction type or the malfunctioned phase from the plurality of phases is generated by an alarm signal generator (20). If the malfunction specifics and the malfunctioned phase can be distinguished by the generated alarm signal, the type of malfunction that has occurred and the phase in which the malfunction has occurred can be distinguished by the pulse number or pulse width, due to a configuration for generating an alarm signal having a pulse number corresponding to the phase in which the malfunction has occurred, or a configuration for generating an alarm signal having a pulse width corresponding to the phase in which the malfunction has occurred. |
