The device has a driving time determining unit (6) for determining time information relative to arrival of rail vehicles i.e. trains, at a level crossing (1). A processing unit (7) processes the determined time information into presentable information. A large display (8a), a small panel (8b), a loudspeaker (9), and a wireless transmitting unit (11) acoustically and/or visually output the presentable information to vehicles (5a) and persons (5b) provided in a surrounding of the level crossing. An information determining unit (10) determines traffic information and/or entertainment information.
