The device i.e. special ridge cover (1), has a metal frame (2) for fitting on a spine of a horse, and a fastening part (3) for fixation of the device on the spine of the horse. The frame comprises a leg support (10) for a person sitting on the horse. The leg support is designed as a horn. The horn and the frame form an upwardly opened angle (alpha) of 70-120 degree. The frame exhibits a symmetrical form and comprises a saddle chamber (4) for retaining of withers of the horse. The frame comprises a holder (7) with gripping surfaces (8, 9) for two persons.
