A fuel cell having a membrane electrode assembly (50) in which catalyst layers (52, 53) are joined to both sides of an electrolytic membrane (51) and a pair of separators (70, 70) are arranged on both sides of the membrane electrode assembly (50) so as to form gas flow spaces (e) through which each of two types of power generation gas are caused to flow. In the fuel cell, a conductive porous substrate (80) bent into a wave shape is arranged on at least one of the gas flow spaces (e, e) partitioned and formed on both sides of the membrane electrode assembly (50) and that gas flow space (e) is divided into a plurality of gas flow paths (e1) substantially parallel to the flow direction of the power generation gas. |
