PURPOSE: A fitting method for a shaft of a golf club is provided to be widely applied by lightening and miniaturizing a device to be used and perform fitting based on detailed shaft specs reflecting the whole swing. CONSTITUTION: A fitting method for a shaft of a golf club selects a shaft which is matched with a golfer based of the swing of the golfer and comprises a process which obtains a measured value from a sensor measuring an angular velocity of three axis by striking a golf ball with a golf club adhered to a grip, a process which determines address, top and impact from the measured value and a process of selecting a shaft matched with a golfer by using a swing feature amount of a grip angular velocity variation of a caulking direction at top, a mean value of the grip angular velocity of the caulking direction until the grip angular velocity of the caulking direction has the maximum value from the top during down swing, a mean value of the grip angular velocity of the caulking direction to the impact from a state in which the grip angular velocity of the caulking direction has the maximum value during the down swing and a mean value of the grip angular velocity of the caulking direction to the impact from the top which are obtained from the measured value.
