PURPOSE: An epoxy composition containing an epoxy compound with an alkoxy silyl group is provided to reduce the coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) of an epoxy complex with improved heat resistance and to increase glass transition temperature. CONSTITUTION: An epoxy compound with an alkoxy silyl group is selected from compounds of chemical formulas AI, BI, CI, DI, EI, FI, GI, and HI. An epoxy composition contains the epoxy compound. A cured material of the epoxy composition is provided. A method for preparing the epoxy compounds comprises the steps of: making a starting material react with an alkenyl compound of chemical formula M1 under the presence of a base and a solvent; continuously making the reactant react with epichlorohydrin to prepare an intermediate; and making the intermediate react with alkoxy silane of chemical formula M2 under the presence of a metal catalyst and a solvent to prepare a final product.
