The invention relates to a pole (2) for a handling device (1), comprising a hollow profile-shaped pole body, a lifting apparatus (3), and guides (46a, 46b) running in the longitudinal direction of the pole body, wherein the lifting apparatus (3) comprises at least one tractive means drive and at least one jack lift (60) that can be adjusted by said drive along the guides (46a, 46b). The guides (46a, 46b) are arranged on either side of the tractive means drive, and each of the guides (46a, 46b) forms guide paths (47a, 47b, 47c) which form an angle (49) between each other and on which the jack lift (60) is mounted. The invention further relates to a handling device (1) comprising a chassis (4, 5) and a pole (2) attached thereon.
