PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device, a lens unit, and a manufacturing method of the driving device which enable the downsizing, efficiently transmit the expansion and contraction operations of an electromechanical conversion element to an engagement member, and improve the flexibility of design.SOLUTION: A driving device of this invention includes: a driving device body 1; and an engagement member. The driving device body 1 includes: a piezoelectric element 2 serving as an electromechanical conversion element; a first electrode 31; and a second electrode 32. The piezoelectric element 2 includes: a sliding part 21b on which the engagement member slides; a first recessed groove 22; and a second recessed groove 23. The first electrode 31 includes a first external electrode 31b disposed in the first recessed groove 22, and the second electrode 32 includes a second external electrode 32b disposed in the second recessed groove 23. |
