PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake device of an internal combustion engine, configured to control a maximum valve lift amount of an intake valve as well as an intake distribution valve, in accordance with a load state of the internal combustion engine, and to adjust strength of a vortex of a tumble, thereby optimizing combustion efficiency.SOLUTION: In an intake distribution valve (61), a base end is pivotally supported on an inlet pipe near an upstream edge of a partition plate (60), and a tip facing the intake upstream side is freely swingable upward and downward. An intake device of an internal combustion engine includes: an intake-valve-lift amount variable mechanism (90) that changes a maximum valve lift amount of an intake valve (46) for opening and closing an intake valve port (42); and an intake control means (66) for driving and controlling the intake distribution valve (61) and the intake-valve-lift amount variable mechanism (90) in accordance with a load state of the internal combustion engine. |
