PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor that keeps water from flowing in the motor.SOLUTION: A brush-holding portion, bulkheads 38a and 38c for inserting an axis 20 of a rotor and a connector 35 are integrally arranged in a holder 30 sandwiched between a casing body 6 and a bracket 5. A seal member 73 has a seal portion 74 and a non-seal portion 75. In the holder 30 is arranged a respiratory hole 72, one end 72a of which is open to the connector 35 and the other end 72b of which is open to a face opposing to the bracket 5 in the bulkhead 38a. The opening of the other end 72b of the respiratory hole 72 is communicated with the inside of the casing body 6, via a first space 81 formed between the non-seal member 75 of the seal member 73 and the bulkhead 38a, a second space 82 formed between the bulkhead portion 38c and the bracket 5, a communication route 84 formed like a labyrinth between the bracket 5 and the holder 30 and a third space 83 formed between a through-hole 45 and the axis 20 of the rotor. |
