PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently performing treatment at low cost by suppressing the generation of iron sludge by stably holding an Fe support carrier in the treatment of hardly biodegradable organic matter-containing water by Fenton's oxidation.SOLUTION: Hardly biodegradable organic matter-containing water is brought into contact with an Fe supported inorganic carrier which is obtained by supporting Fe(II) ions and/or Fe(III) ions on an inorganic carrier under a condition of pH 5-9 in the presence of hydrogen peroxide by ion bonding. When this Fe supported inorganic carrier obtained by supporting the Fe(II) ions and/or Fe(III) ions on an inorganic carrier by ion bonding is used, Fenton's oxidation in a neutral region of pH 5-9 becomes possible and the use amount of a pH controller is reduced. Further, since the Fe supported carrier can be stably held, the generation of iron sludge can be suppressed. |
