PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separation membrane element having both high permeability and high durability without obstructing the characteristics of a separation membrane having an excellent separation membrane function.SOLUTION: A separation membrane element includes a separation membrane of which a peripheral edge is sealed, a support arranged in opposed relation to the surface on the permeation side of the separation membrane, and a resin part adhering only to the surface on the permeation side of the separation membrane.
