PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission system capable of executing efficient power transmission by selecting an appropriate frequency in transmitting power.SOLUTION: A power transmission system comprises: an inverter unit for converting DC voltage to AC voltage having a predetermined frequency and outputting the AC voltage; a power transmission antenna for receiving the AC voltage from the inverter unit as input; a power transmission control unit for controlling a frequency of the AC voltage output by the inverter unit; a power reception antenna which faces the power transmission antenna and receives electric energy from the power transmission antenna through an electromagnetic field; a derivation unit for deriving a coupling factor between the power transmission antenna and the power reception antenna; and a table for storing relation between a transmission frequency having maximum transmission efficiency and the coupling factor between the power transmission antenna and the power reception antenna. The power transmission control unit determines a transmission frequency in transmitting the electric energy from the power transmission antenna through the electromagnetic field, on the basis of the table and the coupling factor between the power transmission antenna and the power reception antenna derived by the derivation unit. |
