摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prohibit charging of a battery by detecting a deep discharge state with no intervention of a CPU.SOLUTION: A semiconductor device for battery control includes a control circuit (110) capable of controlling on/off operation of a charging transistor (13) provided to a charging path of a battery, a CPU (102) capable of controlling charging operation of the battery by way of the control circuit, and a deep discharge detection circuit (109) capable of detecting a deep discharge state of the battery. Further, a switching circuit (111) is provided, for forcedly controlling the charging transistor to be an off-state regardless of charging control from the CPU by transmitting a detection result of the deep discharge detection circuit to the control circuit in preference in a case where the deep discharge state of the battery is detected by the deep discharge detection circuit. When the deep discharge state is detected, a charging route of the battery is cut off regardless of charging control from the CPU, thereby charging thereafter is prohibited.
