PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine starter capable of improving reliability, and capable of improving environmental resistance in a control circuit 31, by reducing a connecting part such as a connector, by storing the control circuit 31 for setting a current-carrying time to a resistor 7 for restraining a starting current of a motor, inside a casing of a relay 2 for carrying an electric current to the motor.SOLUTION: In a relay 2 for carrying an electric current to a motor, a resistor 7 for restraining a starting current flowing to the motor from a battery when starting the motor, is arranged in a contact point chamber 39, and the control circuit 31 (for example, an IC) for setting the current-carrying time to the resistor 7 by controlling an excitation state of a relay coil 19, is stored inside the casing. The control circuit 31 using this IC is molded in a resin member 33a integrally formed with a bobbin 33 being a winding frame of the relay coil 19, by installing an IC package in close contact with a metallic partition wall member 23 for forming a magnetic passage. |
